East Boro provides a complete maintenance service to its tenants, including a response repair service, weekly fire safety checks, planned maintenance programme, cyclical works, property adaptations, and refurbishment of new schemes.
The Response repairs needs are categorised under the following categories:
- Category 1 - Emergency Repairs - within 24 hours
- Category 2 - Urgent Repairs - within 5 working days
- Category 3 - Routine repairs - within 20 working days
East Boro employs its own direct labour team which includes; plumbers, decorators, carpenters, general maintenance persons, gas engineer, window cleaner, gardeners, and caretakers.
These services are provided between 8:30am and 5pm Monday to Friday, except bank holidays. All other services are provided by Approved Contractors who are retained under contract to the Trust.
Out of Hours Emergency Repairs (category 1) are responded to by Spectrum Property Care on behalf of East Boro. This out of hours service is provided from 5pm to 8:30am Monday to Friday and 24 hours a day on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays.
In addition, East Boro provides maintenance services to other organisations in Dorset and Hampshire under Service Level Agreements.
