East Boro’s reputation as a progressive housing association has been further enhanced by its use of evidenced client centered outcome (ecco).

ecco is a web-based database system and East Boro has worked closely with the developers to create a bespoke system suitable for its needs. 

It is being used to improve our efficiency in recording and evidencing the care and support we provide to our clients.  It also generates reports for our commissioners showing the outcomes of our assessments. 

In addition it provides a facility for managers  to programme review dates, monitor targets, create staff rotas and allocate workloads.

From the moment a client is referred to East Boro for support, ecco enables us to record each stage of the process as well as important personal, contact and emergency details.  Once a client is accepted onto a service a needs assessment will be carried out.  From that assessment a support plan will be agreed and target and review dates and outcomes defined. 

When support staff spend time with the client this will also be recorded on ecco, detailing the time spent and the content of the visit.

Each client and their representative/s is provided with access to their own records so they see when visits have been made and the outcome of those visits.

Our commissioners also are provided with the facility to run reports which identify how East Boro is meeting the needs of the services paid for by a particular commissioner.

In short, ecco enables East Boro to provide an open transparent service to all its customers.
